About Valentine for Palestine

The Palestinian people have suffered decades of conflict leading to widespread economic crisis and social instability.  In the current context of high unemployment, increasing poverty, and ongoing conflict, Palestinians, particularly youth and women, are marginalized from opportunities for contributing to the social and economic well-being of their communities.

Valentine for Palestine is a campaign of Relief International (RI). ALL of the proceeds from the V4P campaign are used to directly benefit populations in Gaza through the provision of emergency food, medicine and other basic essentials.

Relief International's programs in Palestine focus on providing food and other emergency relief items during times of crisis but also on promoting access to education, economic empowerment, conflict resolution, gender equality, peace-building, and volunteerism for marginalized youth, women, and communities.  To-date RI has created a network of 6 Community Centers, one Women's Center and 23 Youth Action Clubs across Palestine focused on empowering youth, women and communities.  Over the last 8 years, RI has engaged tens of thousands of Palestinians in global exchange, microfinance, the provision of internet and technology, training for teachers and students, and peace-building programs.  Currently in Gaza RI is reducing the suffering of civilians facing severe shortages in basic goods and services through the distribution of food, powdered milk, water, blankets, sanitary packages, candles, and medical supplies to over 40,000 conflict-affected Gazans.
